"Hey there tough stuff," Ian said strolling up the aisle way to Perfection's stall. The gangly three year old let out a low whicker and nudged his hay net. Ian let out a deep throaty laugh. "Yeah, I know. You're a total dude. Hungry all the damn time," Ian dumped the colts grain into his feed trough. "He's just like us then, huh?" A voice said from down the opposite end of the aisle. Ian turned his head and upon seeing the man a big smile appeared on his face. "Jackson! Man, you're in a barn, you know that right?" "Naw, dipshit. I thought this was a strip joint in Vegas," Jackson joked back. "Of course I know this is a barn. Allie sent me down here when I showed up at your house. I got the feeling that, err, she and the girls didn't want me around." He had a cheeky grin on his face. Ian laughed at this. "You've been a pain in her ass for almost ten years. Of course she wanted to get rid of you." Turning his attention back to the big colt he grabbed a lead shank and went into the stall. Hooking it the colts halter he led him out into the aisle way. "He won't hurt you," Ian told Jackson. "Dude, I'm not afraid of a horse." He sounded as confident as a llama on crack. "What about?" Ian started. "Dude, don't bring that up. I came here to offer you some extra manly-ness around the place while you're stuck so far from home with the crazy girl triplets. Be nice." "Jax, I didn't ask you to come here, remember? You're here on your own free will," Ian commented hooking Perfection to the cross ties. "I can get a groom to do this. Sam's in the other barn we could go me-" He didn't get to finish because Jackson was darting down the barn aisle. Ian laughed and took off after him. A groom would come and finish the morning chores in Perfection's stall. They had a girl to harass. After all, boys will be boys.
