"She's getting better," Allie said reaching out to the pet the mare, who surprisingly was still at the front of the stall. Normally she would dash to the back of the stall when anyone even stepped foot in the aisle way. Instead today she let Allie's hand brush across her fur before she made her escape to a corner of safety. "Yeah, but still, I feel bad and I'm not even the one that did this to her," Riley commented. "She barely let you touch her." Riley poured the mares morning ration of grain into the feed bucket before making sure the water system was working properly in the mares stall. "Gee, way to be a pessimist," Allie said pushing the girl slightly. "Well, I don't know whaat you want from me. It's just taking forever for her to get better. I guess I just want things to change overnight." Riley wasn't known for her patience. She was punctual and everything was done in it's set time. "Girl. Calm down. We've got other horses too see. We'll leave Dancer alone and not mess with her stall. I think us touching her right now would upset her more than a dirty stall." "Probably right Al. I'll ask one of the big buff man grooms to take her out to pasture later," she said with a laugh.
