"Hi Kara!" Chad said happily, waving towards the girl, Fleet Street right at his heels, ready to run.
Anthony and Kara looked up from watching Alexa canter Grand and smiled greetings as Chad, Fleet Street and Nicole hurried over to them. "Hey Chad. She's beautiful. Looks alot like her mother." Kara said. It was easy to see the excitment energy building on the girls face.
"Hey Anthony. Kara. You guys ready?" Nicole asked them, stroking Classy's muscular neck.
Anthony nodded and walked over to give his wife a big hug. "Always ready when you are."
Kara stepped forward to the filly, letting Classy sniff her hand before running her fingers over the fillies head. "Hi pretty girl. You ready to rock and roll?" she asked. Classy snorted and eagerly bobbed her head, stamping her hoof into the ground.
"Hold her Chad." Nicole said, giving Kara a leg up into the light saddle.
Once Kara got her stirrups adjusted, Chad stepped aside and the three of them stood at the rail, watching the girl ride the dark filly onto the track.
"Okay Alexa. Bring Grand back and cool him out." Anthony called out to his daugther as she rode by on the chestnut colt.
After checking over the colt, they concentrated on watching Kara and Classy. The filly had her prancing heels on but behaved like an angel, only giving a few tugs at the reins for more speed.
"Good Kara. Let her canter." Nicole called out.
Chad watched carefully as the girl tapped the tall filly into the faster gait. Fleet Street happily picked up the speed and smoothly cantered around the track. Chad had to admit, Kara was born to ride. She was perfect.
"That's good Kara. Bring her over." Nicole called after they cantered the track a second time.
Posting to the trot back over to the gap, Kara was beaming. "She really is something. I can't wait to feel her gallop." Kara said, jumping out of the saddle once Chad took the fillies head.
Checking the filly over, Anthony nodded. "Very good. We'll try a light gallop on her when we get back in a week. But until then, Kara your welcome to work with the filly and ride her over the trails. No more than a canter though."
Kara's smile widened. "You can count on me." she said, lovenly patting the fillies neck.
