My family and I head down the trails, me on Flyer, Luke on Pride, and Lindsay on Pirate. The horses enjoy the trails as much as we do, and breathe deeply taking in the smell of the pines. There's a little trail through the scrub brush that leads to a river, and we cut across it, having fun splashing. Marley and Free, our two labs, are natural water dogs, and love this part of the trails best.
About a ten minuet's ride up ahead, there's a fenced meadow where the horses can graze and the humans and dogs can have a nice picnic. We stop to relax for now.
