"Storm is gonna have some competition." Anthony said with a wide grin as Nicole backed the big black stallion from the trailer.
Nicole rolled her eyes, carefully guiding the stallion away from the trailer. Once Flame was free from the confined space, he picked up his heels and pranced at Nicole's side.
"That's my good boy. Welcome to your new home." Nicole said fondly, stroking Flame's muscular arched neck. Flame flicked one ear in Nicole's direction before pricking both ears forward as he gazed around his new surroundings with interest.
"Hold him still so I can take off his bandages." Anthony said, walking over to them.
Nicole took a firm hold on the lead shank, patting the stallion while Anthony unwrapped each of his legs. "You are a very good boy. Wait until you meet the other boys. From a distance at least."
Once Anthony unwrapped each leg, Nicole led Flame into the barn and down the aisle to his new stall which was already set and ready for the stallions arrival.
Leading Flame into his large stall, Nicole unclipped the lead shank and gave Flame a loving pat along with a carrot chunk. "I'll be back later to check up on you. Take care until then." Nicole said, giving Flame a quick kiss on the muzzle before latching the stall door and going with Anthony to clean up the trailer.

"Good morning Flame." Nicole said happily as she came down to the stallions stall.
Flame whinnied a happy greeting as he saw Nicole, thrusting his head over the stall door and bobbing his head eagerly. "Yeah thats my boy. You hungry?" Nicole asked and Flame bobbed his head again. "I'll be right back."
Going to the feed room, Nicole scooped out the stallions morning rations and adding the suppliments and nuturients the stallion needed, carrying the feed back to the stallions stall and dumping it.
While Flame ate his breakfast eagerly, Nicole cleaned the stallions water buckets and refilled them with cool clean water.
Once Flame was done eating, Nicole led the thoroughbred out of his stall and into a set of crossties. "No paddocks today. It's raining pretty hard outside." Nicole told him as she went over Flame's black coat with a curry.
After giving Flame a thorough grooming and placing a light sheet over the stallions back and buckling the straps, Nicole quickly clean out the stallions stall before leading Flame back into his stall for the night.
