Appearance: Alex is tall and thin, but he's definitely muscular as well. He's got straight, black hair, that stops just a little below his chin. He has nice green eyes, but frequently hides one of them by wearing an icy blue contact in his left eye. Yes, just one colored contact. He's a little odd that way. He has his lip pierced on the left side, and small wing tattoos on his left ankle. Alex's sense of style would stereotypically be considered "scene", but he doesn't put himself in a particular category. All he knows is he likes skinny jeans, band t-shirts, bright colored things, but he'll also wear just about anything he can find that's clean.
Personality: Alex pretty much goes with the flow. He's not bossy, but he doesn't mind telling people what to do if he's given the chance. He's definitely more of a follower than a leader, though he does come up with great ideas of things to do - he'd just rather someone else be in charge instead of him. While Alex doesn't mind being the center of attention that much, he'd rather not constantly be in the spotlight. Although he seems to be your typical reserved-but-fun-loving guy, Alex sure knows how to be an asshole. He's very sarcastic, and always has a good comeback. He's certainly not someone you want to mess with, and he's good at making people feel like crap if he wants to. When people see this side of him (which they do almost all the time), they wonder how anyone can tolerate him. But what those people don't know, is Alex is actually a great guy under his rough exterior. Once you get past his rude comments and generally annoying behavior, he's fun to hang out with, and he actually does have a heart, despite what many may think.
Past:Alex is the fifth child in a family of seven. He has two older brothers, two older sisters, a younger brother, and a younger sister. His parents have enough money to feed the children and run their farm in Kentucky, but they certainly don't have enough money to let each of their children splurge. Alex's brothers and sister were awful to him when he was younger, which is how he developed such a hard exterior that is hard for people to see past. He was so used to his four older siblings insulting and hurting him at every chance they got, that he kind of turned it back around, and is an asshole to other people, to make them feel his pain.
Alex's parents were too busy working around the farm to really stop his siblings from being terrible to each other, so things didn't really end until Alex was seventeen, and could at least try to fight his older brothers back. Physically, of course. He ended up getting hurt more often than not, and was brought to the hospital quite a few times before his parents decided that it was time for him to leave home. They decided to send him to a boarding school with horses, where he would hopefully learn to love the animals as much as they did.
Alex wasn't all to pleased about this idea. He loved his home, he loved knowing all of the people that lived near him, knowing all of the people who went to his school, and knowing where he could score some weed when he wanted some, which was quite a lot. His parents wouldn't listen to his excuses, and packed up his room for him, and left him at the bus stop. Alex took a few "accidental" wrong buses after the initial one his parents put him on, and ended up spending many hours thinking about the pro's and con's of boarding school. Eventually he got himself onto the right bus, and ended up at the school his parents had paid for.
As he knew would happen from the beginning, Alex hated the school. He managed to get through his senior year without killing himself or anyone else, and then packed up his bags and left. He didn't call his parents, didn't pick up the phone when they called, and didn't tell any of his friends where he was going or what he planned to do with his life, which is how he ended up here.[/color]
